Bloom: An Invitation to Becoming
Guapinol, Costa Rica
February 8-15th, 2027
The Experience
Bloom is a small, intimate, women-centered retreat in Costa Rica — a space to slow down, reconnect, and soften into the version of yourself that already exists beneath the noise.
Set in the lush jungle at Selvática, our days are intentionally spacious and unhurried. Mornings begin with yoga, meditation, and breathwork, followed by time to rest, connect, and move at your own rhythm. Creative sessions offer a return to expression — a space to create freely, without pressure, and reconnect with your natural flow.
Throughout the week, we move between stillness and gentle adventure. You’ll have the option to experience a sunset horseback ride through the jungle or unwind with a massage, spend slow mornings immersed in nature, and explore Rainmaker’s waterfalls and forest trails. We’ll also spend a day in Manuel Antonio National Park — walking through lush jungle paths, spotting wildlife, and arriving at some of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches.
There will be space for optional deeper experiences for those who feel called, always approached with care, intention, and personal choice.
This retreat isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about creating the space to feel what’s already there.
To soften. To open. To feel more like yourself again.
Designed for all levels, everything is optional. There is space for rest, solitude, and integration — allowing you to move through the experience in a way that feels true to you.
About
Selvática Eco Retreat
Nestled in the hills above Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast, Selvática is a sanctuary for renewal. Hand-built with intention by founders Sander and Cristina, this eco retreat honors simplicity, mindfulness, and connection to the earth.
With two open-air yoga shalas — the Sky Shala overlooking the ocean and the Jungle Shala nestled beneath the trees — every practice feels like an offering to the land. The sounds of birds and the hum of the forest become part of each meditation and ritual.
Where: Near Jacó and Manuel Antonio National Park
Beaches nearby: Bejuco & Esterillos Este (~20 minutes)
Nourishment
Meals are prepared by Cristina, a registered dietitian and chef, using farm-to-table ingredients sourced from nearby villages. Expect colorful, mostly plant-based dishes — grounding, vibrant, and nourishing.
All dietary needs can be accommodated with love and care. Each meal is served in the open-air dining space, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and the warmth of community.
About your hosts
-
I’m a retreat host, yoga teacher, and creative, and over the past few years I’ve been building a life centered around slow travel, wellness, and creating meaningful experiences in places that feel deeply connected to nature.
Hosting retreats is something I’ve felt called to for a long time. I remember first hearing about retreats while traveling and feeling like it was something I wanted to be a part of — but not fully knowing how or when that would happen.
Over time, that curiosity turned into something more real.
Through my own experiences — traveling, learning, cooking for retreats, studying yoga and Ayurveda — I began to understand the kind of spaces I wanted to create.
Spaces that feel warm, grounded, and intentional.
Where people can arrive as they are, without pressure to be anything else.My approach isn’t about rigid structure or perfectly curated schedules. I create a thoughtful flow for the week, but I also leave space for things to unfold naturally — for the group to connect, for conversations to happen, and for each person to have their own experience within it.
I care a lot about how things feel — the energy of a space, the pacing of a day, the small details that make people feel comfortable and held.
During the retreat, I’ll be there to guide practices, support the overall flow, and hold space but also to experience it alongside you.
